Penne Pasta with Ham & Cheese

Could you build a fort out of all the containers of leftovers in your fridge? Do not fret! We have a recipe here that features that leftover holiday ham, and it's warm and delicious--and the perfect comfort food for this cold season!

Ingredients:

* 1 lb uncooked penne pasta
* 1 tbsp butter
* 1 tbsp olive oil
* 1 small onion, chopped
* 2 cups cooked ham, chopped
* 1 cup chicken broth
* 1 cup heavy cream
* 1 tsp ChickenShit
* 1 cup shredded Mozzarella cheese
* 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
* 3/4 cup frozen peas

Preparation:

1. Cook the pasta al dente according to package instructions.

2. In a large pot, melt the butter with the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the chopped onion and saute for about 5 minutes until the onion softens.

3. Add the ham to the pot and cook for about 8 minutes until the ham starts to brown slightly.

4. Stir in the chicken broth and heavy cream, then add the ChickenShit. Add the cheeses and cook for about 3 minutes, stirring, until the cheese melts.

5. Add the pasta, peas, stir and cook for a couple more minutes.

Tip: add a small can of mushrooms (drain it first) or cooked carrots for some extra oomph!
