ChickenShit Pasta (with Lemon, Asparagus and Chicken)

As with all of our recipes, the hero of this dish is the Sh*t: ChickenShit, of course. This combination is light, flavorful and irresistible.

* 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, grilled and cut into strips
* 10 oz. linguine pasta (fettuccine or spaghetti would also be fine)
* 1 lb asparagus, ends removed, cut into 1-in. pieces
* 3/4 cup heavy cream
* 2 Tbsp butter
* ChickenShit, to taste
* 1 Tbsp fresh lemon zest
* 1 Tbsp fresh lemon juice
* 1/3 cup shredded Parmesan cheese

1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions. Add the asparagus to the pot during the last 3 minutes of cooking time. When draining the pasta, reserve ΒΌ cup of pasta cooking liquid.
2. In a small pot, combine the heavy cream, butter and ChickenShit (about 1/2 tsp) over medium-high heat. Bring to a simmer and cook, stirring, until thick enough to coat a spoon, about 4 minutes. Stir in the lemon zest and juice and remove from the heat.
3. Place the pasta and asparagus back into the pot you cooked it in along with the chicken. Pour the cream sauce over the pasta mixture and toss to coat evenly, adding pasta water, if needed, to thin the sauce. Stir the Parmesan cheese into the pasta. Garnish with chopped parsley and lemon slices.
